I am a Haywood County native, and have lived here my entire life except for a few years at college and on my first job. As a North Carolina State University graduate, I have B. S. degrees in both Industrial Engineering and Business Management. My first job was in banking at First Union Bank in Charlotte, NC. While there, I met and married my lovely wife, Susan, and we had two wonderful children, Melissa and Bradley. We both wanted to raise our kids in a healthy and friendly environment, so in 1986, we moved our family back to Waynesville. We also bought an Ace Hardware Store that year. If you stop by Haywood Ace Hardware, be sure to look for Zoe (our dog). She loves to meet new people!
